Love - A feeling of Strength
May 31, 2007 by Pareen
Just yesterday, while I was listening to some of the old (Hindi) songs, I happened to listen to “O Mere Dil ke Chain”.
No doubt it’s an amazing song, but a stanza (antara) caught my attention.
Here are the lyrics…(In Hindi)
O mere dil ke chain…chain aaye mere dil ko duwaa kijiye…
Yun to akelaa hi aksar, gir ke sambhal sakta hoon mein,
Tum jo pakadlo haath meraa, duniya badal sakataa hoon mein;
Maangaa hain tumhe, duniyaan ke liye
Ab khud hi sanam faisalaa kijiyeO mere dil ke chain…chain aaye mere dil ko duwaa kijiye…
(Translation below)
In life, when love knocks on the doors of our hearts, we are often not looking out for it. The feeling of love for some person, some being or something just enters one’s heart.
And while we wonder whether we should pursue love or let it pass by, we experience the feeling described in the song. It says, I have the strength to recover every time I fall; but if you lend me your hand, I feel, I can change (or face) the entire world (and every problem in it). This is when one realizes the importance of love.
“To love someone deeply gives you strength.
Being loved by someone deeply gives you courage.”
~ Lao-Tzu ~
I could relate to it. Hope you too would be able to. Tell me if you feel. And tell me if you don’t.
