Friends, I dont know much…

This is a poem for my friends who have been lost in the rush of life and to let them know…there is still a hope!

 

Look at this face
I know the years are showin
Look at this life
I still don’t know where its goin

I don’t know much
But I know I need you
And that may be
You need me too

Look at these eyes
They never seen what mattered
Look at these dreams
So beaten and so battered

I don’t know much
But I know theres place in my heart for you
And that may be
Theres place for me in yours too

So many questions
Still left unanswered
So much
That whole lifes been altered

And when I feel you near me
Sometimes I see so clearly
The only truth Ive ever known
Is me and you

I don’t know much
But I know I miss you
And that may be
You miss me too

All I need to live and more than that
I have achieved
Still lifes incomplete
To be lived

I don’t know much
But I know I want to rewind the time
And that may be
You want to turn back too

Why do we run after things
I do not know
And away from those who matter
We go

I don’t know much
But I know I want to come back to you
And that maybe
You want to come to me too
